The University of Westminster has three campuses in central London, close together at Regent Street, Cavendish and Marylebone, and a fourth at Harrow for media, arts and design. The central three are around Oxford Circus and Baker Street, among the most expensive streets in London to rent on, so nearly everyone commutes. The upside is that this part of town has some of the best transport links in the city.

The times below are door to door on a weekday morning, from the TfL journey planner.

Regent Street and Cavendish

The Bloomsbury residence on Guilford Street is about 26 minutes from Regent Street on one bus. Cavendish is about half an hour away, and you can walk it. The rooms are single en-suites, double en-suites and twins, each with a private shower and toilet.

The Camden residence near Chalk Farm is about 26 minutes from Cavendish by bus and about half an hour from Regent Street by tube. Every room is a studio with its own kitchenette and bathroom.

Marylebone

The Marylebone campus is on Marylebone Road, opposite Baker Street station. The 27 bus starts near the Camden residence and runs the length of Marylebone Road, so it’s about 26 minutes with no changes, usually with a seat.

The Wembley residence is about 28 minutes away, because the Metropolitan line from Wembley Park runs fast to Baker Street. The rooms are en-suites with a double bed and a shared kitchen, and there’s a gym and a cinema room in the building.

Harrow

For the Harrow campus, Wembley is the obvious choice: about 22 minutes on the Metropolitan line and a short bus. Everything else we have is 40 minutes or more away. Our Wembley guide covers the neighbourhood, including what happens on stadium event days.

On the Central line: Hyde Park, Notting Hill and North Acton

Three of our residences are on or near the Central line, which runs straight to Oxford Circus, a few minutes’ walk from Regent Street.

The Hyde Park residence is about 31 to 33 minutes from Regent Street and about half an hour from Marylebone, and breakfast and dinner are included every day. The Notting Hill residence is about 32 minutes; it’s hostel-style, with shared bathrooms. The North Acton residence, opposite North Acton station, is about 33 minutes, with en-suite rooms in shared flats.

How it works

It’s free to apply and there’s no commitment. Tell us your dates and your campus; with four of them, it makes a real difference. We ask the residence about your dates and usually come back the same working day with the room, the weekly rate and the total. Short stays of a few weeks are fine too. How booking works has the rest.

Weekly prices change through the year, and the cards below show today’s.
