Liverpool is a vibrant student city and is home to over 50,000 students. With its amazing city centre location and over 1,200 rooms, Grand Central is at the heart of student life in Liverpool.

The residence is adjacent to Liverpool Lime Street Station and within easy reach of Queens Square Station, meaning you can reach anywhere in the city quickly and easily. Both of the Liverpool John Moores University City and Mount Pleasant campuses, and the University of Liverpool are within walking distance of the residence.

The area around the residence (Liverpool City Centre) is alive with shops, supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, bars and clubs. You will never have to venture far to find a student activity or night out.

Features

One of the largest student residences in the UK, Grand Central offers over 1,200 rooms to students. The vast majority of bedrooms come equipped with private en-suite bathrooms and are either studio complete with kitchen facilities within the room or en-suite rooms which have access to a shared living room and kitchen. There are a limited number of non en-suite rooms available.

All bedrooms come equipped with a comfortable bed, a study area and plenty of storage. There is a large common area with a pool table, table tennis, TV and vending machines. Guests can use the onsite gym and store their bikes safely. There is Wi-Fi throughout the building and a modern laundry facility.

This is a single en-suite studio. The room has a comfortable ¾ double bed, a desk area and private bathroom, as well as a large wardrobe and under-bed storage. The studio is fully equipped with a private, modern kitchen area. There is free Wi-Fi in each bedroom and throughout the building.

Can I select my room?

You can select the type of room you stay in.

However, you cannot request specific details such as what floor the room is on or who your flatmates are, as the rooms are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

If you do have a special request, please let us know and we will do our best to help you.

Can I view this residence prior to booking?

If you are staying for 12 weeks or longer, we will be happy to request an appointment with the residence team for you to view the residence.

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide viewings for stays under 12 weeks.

Can I smoke in the residence?

Smoking is not permitted in any indoor area in the UK. Please use the designated smoking areas found outside the residence.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately, no pets are permitted in any of our residences.

Where can I wash my clothes?

This residence offers dedicated laundry facilities where you can wash and dry your clothes.  

Are bills included in the price?

Yes, all utility bills are included in the price of the room, including gas, electric and Wi-Fi internet. 

Does this residence have internet? 

Yes, there is wireless internet in every bedroom and throughout the building. 

Is there a curfew?

No, there is no curfew. You will be living independently, you will have your own key and can come and go as you please. 

Is there always a member of staff available?

Yes, the reception staff usually work during office hours Monday to Friday. However, when the reception is closed, there will always be a member of the customer service or security team on hand, either to assist you in person or for you to contact by telephone. 

Can I stay in this residence if I am under 18?

Unfortunately, this residence is only available to students aged 18 or over.

On occasion, subject to management approval, an exception can be made for students who turn 18 during their stay.

What is provided in your studio room?

Studio rooms include features such as a private bathroom, a modern private kitchen area, a comfortable three-quarter sized bed, your own desk for study and Wi-Fi connected work space.

What is the minimum stay?

The minimum stay is 12 weeks.

How big are the rooms?

Rooms are typically 11 square meters.
