1. Come down to the South Bank for a day out and while you are there cool yourself down by going to the Jeppe Hein’s “Appearing Rooms”. This interactive fountain is a refreshing addition to summer at Southbank Centre. Find it outside the Queen Elizabeth Hall. Walls of water rise and fall randomly to create a series of constantly changing ‘rooms’, challenging visitors to keep their wits about them if they don’t want to get soaked. You can also visit the Granary Square fountains, just around the corner from Kings Cross and this fountain has over 1000 water spouts to relieve you if you are feeling too hot!

2. Go for a splash to cool off in some of London’s best lido’s and outdoor swimming pools. Get there early as these pools are always super busy during the summer but totally worth a Tooting Bec Lido, London Fields Lido in Hackney, the Serpentine Lido in Hyde Park, Hillingdon Outoor PoolTooting Bec Lido and many more for you to find in and around London.

3. Who doesn’t like ice cream, especially when it’s hot and here is a list of places we think would be ideal to cool you down in the warmer months. The Chin Chin Club in Soho, is a really cool place (literally), where they use liquid nitrogen to experiment with different kinds of ice creams and really is the Willy Wonka of the ice cream world. You could try Gelatorino, in Covent Garden and watch ice cream being made right in front of you. This is definitely one of the more traditional places to try Italian Gelato and you will be guaranteed to get your moneys worth here. La Gelatiera is a traditional gelato makers but bring a modern slow food twist to their family heritage of artisan gelato-making. They hand make everything fresh daily using the best seasonal ingredients and organic dairy produce.

4. If sub-zero temperatures sounds like something you would enjoy during the Summer then you definitely need to head down to London’s Ice Bar in Mayfair. Belowzero is the UK’s only permanent ice bar, keeping things a cool -5℃ all year round.

5. Why not Kayak down the River Thames and sail down London’s most iconic rivers. You’ll be sure to get the wind in your sails here to keep you nice and chilled. If you’re not afraid of water, you can check out some of London’s most famous landmarks all while floating down the river. Just be sure not to get your feet wet!
