Nestled among some of the best museums (if not all) of London, you will never be short of things to visit or do on those off days and weekends that you may have. Gloucester Road has some of the most cultured experiences, coupled with a restaurant variety to whet even the furthest countries appetite.
If it is some good hearty and contemporary British cuisine that you want to start with upon arrival then Scoff and Banter is the place to go! Boasting the best ‘fish and chips’ in the Borough, this place is also infamous for their Sunday Traditional Roast dinners and hosts some wonderful live jazz music for all to sit and enjoy over their meal.
The Malays and Singaporeans are a force to be reckoned with where their food is concerned, and Bugis Street Brasserie does not disappoint in doing the countries proud where their dishes are concerned. Named after the largest shopping district of Singapore, you will be able to find dishes from Nasi Lemak to Redang – you will not be disappointed and will find yourself back again, and again, and again……..
If you feel like you need to burn off all of that food you have consumed then head along to Cromwell Road where you can find the Natural History Museum, The Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum. Admission is free in the majority of all of the museums, however some exhibitions do come at a charge and are more often than not are totally worth it!
