This charming residence is located amongst stylish garden squares of Bayswater, with both Lancaster Gate Station and Paddington Station (both zone 1) just minutes away. The area stands alongside Hyde Park Gardens as one of the two grandest of the 19th-century housing schemes lining the northern side of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens and is famous for its elegant Georgian architecture. The residence itself is located overlooking Kensington Gardens.
Just a short stroll through Hyde Park and the hustle and you find yourself in the bustle of popular shopping areas such as Mayfair, Bond Street and Oxford Circus. However, after a couple of minutes walk through the peaceful park you might forget you are in the middle of one of the world’s greatest cities.
This large Georgian townhouse sleeps around 119 guests. It sits somewhere between a student residence and a good hostel, with rooms split into singles, twins, triples and four-bed rooms. A small number of rooms are en suite; the rest share bathrooms on each floor, and every room has its own washbasin.
Facilities include a large dining room next to the TV lounge, a quiet study room, a pantry kitchen for snacks and light lunches, a card-operated laundry (about £3.50 a wash and £1.70 a dry), vending machines, key-fob entry, 24-hour CCTV and a porter on duty overnight. There is no lift in the building.
Breakfast and a three-course dinner are included every day, as are all utility bills, Wi-Fi and basic contents insurance. For a catered residence overlooking Kensington Gardens, that is a lot of London for the money.
The Hyde Park residence has single, twin, triple and four-bed rooms. Most share a bathroom on the floor; a few twin and four-bed rooms are en suite.
