This residence is set in Pimlico, a small area in the City of Westminster which is well known for its garden squares and Regency architecture. It is neighbours to the Royal Family with Buckingham Palace just a few minutes away from the residence – so keep your eye out, as you never know who may run in to!
Being that you would be located in close proximity to some of London’s most famous landmarks, it is an absolute must that you visit the mother church of the Catholic Church in England and Wales – Westminster Cathedral. The doors of the Cathedral are opened to and visited by people from every faith who come along to admire the Byzantine Revival architecture of the Cathedral, as well as partake in the masses of the day and seek blessings.
Why not follow up your serene visit to the Cathedral by visiting two of the most popular musicals in the West End currently, which fortunately would happy to be on your doorstep – Wicked and Hamilton. Both musicals have received rave reviews, with many people returning to see them month after month after month. Be sure to check ticket prices online, as you can definitely get a bargain on some of your matinee shows if you book well in advance or even from cancellations.
For all of your shopping needs, why not pay a visit to Cardinal Place. This snazzy modern shopping venue is housed under a curvaceous, new-age glass capsule and has become something of a visual icon in the area. It is the sort of place which has a pick of the best big brand clothes, shoes and accessory shops all within spitting distance of each other. The building rests on rubber shock absorbers to avoid vibrations from the train upsetting shoppers and their retail therapy. There are also plenty of restaurants so weary shoppers can recharge – massive chains such as Zizzi, Wagamama, Nando’s and Ha!Ha! have all opened a branch among the space-like modernity of this really super shopping mall.
Located in a beautiful residence which could be mistaken for a mini-White House, this residence comes with everything you need for convenience and affordability in this central London hostel styled residence.
The residence includes breakfast and dinner into the price of the rent, meaning that is one less thing you need to consider within your budget. However, should you feel that little bit stuffed after your three-course evening meal, then why not head to the common room where you can lounge on the sofa whilst watching whatever takes your fancy on the tv – either with the company of your fellow residents, or on your own.
If, however, you prefer to work off those calories, then why not hit the on-site gym (again all-inclusive in the rent). You can pick whatever time of the day or night you wish to use the gym as it is open 24 hours of the day, seven days of the week. Another thing the residence provides which is 24/7 is their security and their staff presence – so no matter when you may need them, the bilingual staff are at reception always to help you out and make sure you are sleeping safe and sound.
Should you be one of those students who want to brave the streets of London on a bicycle and do your bit to help the environment by avoiding public transport, then there are bike racks on-site for you to store your bicycle. So not only do you have a home for yourself, but your bicycle would have a home for itself too.
Seeing as all of your clothes would be getting all sweaty from all of that free gym time and cycling you are doing, then fear not! You’ll find on-site, open 24/7, the laundry room where you will be able to both wash and dry your clothes at the fraction of the price of what you would be paying outside ( not to mention it would mean you wouldn’t have to let the public see your dirty washing ). If you forget to buy your washing detergents and it is too late to go out and purchase it, then don’t worry – the wonderful reception team will more than likely have some on hand for you to purchase from themselves instead.
