The residence is located in a central location in the vibrant city of Leeds, just a 10-minute walk from the busy city centre and a short 10-15 minute walk to the city’s main higher educational establishments. The position of the residence means you will never be far from the diverse and exciting social scene the city has to offer.

If you’re looking to eat out, or aren’t in the mood to cook there are absolutely loads of fabulous restaurants available locally. TGI Friday’s and a Chinese restaurant are a short walk away, and there is also a local pub called The Fox and Newt which does great food and hosts live bands every week. The recently developed Waterfront is now a dining quarter called Granary Wharf, and you absolutely can’t miss out on the delights of Trinity Kitchen and its take on the classic food court and street food vibe.

Leeds not only has the usual big name bars and nightclubs found in most big cities, but also some locally owned independent bars and clubs. Call Lane and Albion Street are extremely popular with students and have a range of bars to enjoy throughout the week. Some favourites include Revolution, Norman Bar, Jake’s Bar, Tiger Tiger and The Backroom Leeds.

To get a snippet of Leeds’ history, visit The Hyde Park Picture House; Leeds’ purpose-built 101-year-old cinema. It’s the only gas-lit cinema remaining in the UK and is bursting full of history inside. It’s just 20-minutes away by bus and it’s so quirky and such a different way to enjoy a film that you’ll be sure to love it.

The residence has 564 rooms which are a combination of En-Suite and Studio rooms. The Single En-suites all have your own bathroom within the room which offers you plenty of privacy. Residents have access to a fully fitted kitchen with a large communal area space built in which you would share with between 4-6 flatmates. Studios include your own en-suite bathroom and private kitchenette. All rooms are fully furnished and come with a comfortable double bed and all of the storage and study needs to make it a home away from home for you.

There is a large, deluxe common room kitted out with state-of-the-art furnishings and plenty of activities, and there is ALSO an external courtyard area, so there is plenty of opportunities to get some fresh air and top up your Vitamin D at the same time too!! Don’t worry about not having your parents around to wash your clothes for you; there is a laundry room on-site with step by step instructions on how to use the machines, so you won’t be lacking in clean clothes during your stay here.

You will find 24 hour CCTV monitoring, along with a friendly reception team who are replaced outside of office hours with an even friendlier security team; so you can always be reassured that there is someone in the residence should you need a member of staff. Not only that – but if anything goes wrong in your room that needs fixing, then all you need to do is a call a member of the on-site maintenance team who will arrange a convenient time for both you and them to come along and fix it as quickly as possible.
