Nestled cosily in between the well to do area of Hampstead and the more alternative area of Camden Town, you can get the best of both worlds here but at a fraction of the price! Belsize Park however is home to some of the most unique and authentic eating experiences with a wide range of restaurants offering food from all over the world.
Jamon Jamon is a quaint Spanish restaurant which boasts the best tapas and paella in London. Right next to Belsize Park Station you will find XO which is part of the successful Ricker Restaurants and offers a large menu of Asian-inspired dishes with a Thai/Japanese/Chinese fusion. There is then Ginger and White which is a family-friendly coffee shop which serve artisan coffee and tea along with home-made sandwiches, breakfast and lunch.
If you fancy a classic old Victorian pub with a contemporary twist, then the Washington is the place to go! It is most definitely a local favourite due to their comfy squishy sofas, cask ale selection, and nothing makes a pub more traditional than a weekly Quiz night! The food is good quality pub grub which has a modern edge to it.
Whilst Belsize Park is not known for its shopping (due to Oxford Street only being a few miles of an easy commute away), it does have some beautiful independent shops that are worth a visit. So fancy being seen in an outfit that you won’t worry you’ll see someone else in – then these shops would definitely be visit worthy to you.
A short walk away you will find the infamous Primrose Hill Park which offers an amazing view of Central London along with beautiful views of Belsize Park and Hampstead. This is the park that every local will flock to on those odd summer days in abundance!
This residence is spread across two beautiful Victorian style buildings and comes with a large communal area which not only comes with a sociable seating area, but a TV as well to catch up on your programmes or to just relax and watch. There is free high speed WiFi throughout the residence which residents can use over seven devices on their account at any one time. All bills are included in the price as well such as your TV licence (yes, you have TV’s in your rooms) and also general cleaning of your room and maintenance. On those days when the weather is nice and you want to get some fresh air (and believe it or not, but this is a part of London where you can get fresh air), then pop outside to the beautiful gardens where you can dine alfresco, study or just get some peace and quiet.
The residence team are all multilingual and make the residence feels like home, and when they are not around then you will always find the area being covered by a night porter – so rest assure that there is always a member of staff on-site. Not only that, but as well as 24-hour key fob access for you, there is 24-hour CCTV giving you the feeling that you have your own guardian angel watching over you always.
There is a large onsite laundry room available for use by all from the early hours of the morning, through until the moonlight evening – and bear in mind that washing powder can be purchased at reception in case you have forgotten that off your shopping list! For those of you who wish to feel the wind in their hair, the breeze in their face and the courage of a lion, there is a bicycle storage area for you to secure your bike using your own lock.
