The residence is located on New Cross Road and is just a short five minute walk away from Goldsmiths University and a few minutes’ walk from local amenities and transport links including New Cross Station.
New Cross Gate is one of London’s hottest neighbourhoods thanks to its flourishing arts scene and abundance of hip eateries and places to hang out. Head towards New Cross Gate Station where you will find a number of trendy bars/pubs like The Rose and New Cross House with their cosy outdoor areas and fine selection of craft beers and spirits. For live must of a more discerning nature, visit the Amersham Arms, where established and unknown bands, DJs and comedians ply their trade. The Venue – the town’s famous nightclub – has had a revamp recently, although it still hosts tribute bans and pumps out those cheesy dance floor fillers that we all know and love well.
There is no shortage of food along the streets with some amazing speciality stores selling ingredients from all around the world. There is The Allotment which sells fresh, seasonal and local produce along with a selection of craft beers, gluten-free and organic goods. As strange as it may sound, head over to Lewisham College car park where Brockley Market stallholders sell street food, fish, cheese, fresh fruit and vegetables. On top of that Deptford runs a weekly market, and high street stores can be found nearby at Surrey Quays and Lewisham.
The residence has 87 rooms which consists of Single En-suites and Studio rooms in a cluster flat layout. The Single En-suites all have your own bathroom within the room which offers you plenty of privacy. Residents have access to a fully fitted kitchen with a large adjacent lounge room which you would share with no more than 5-11 flatmates. Studios include your own en-suite bathroom and private kitchenette. All rooms are fully furnished and come with a comfortable small double bed and all of the storage and study needs to make it home for you.
You will find a large indoor communal area with a separate study area within the residence. You will also find a lovely outdoor communal area for those days when you want to build a snowman on those snowy days, or get some vitamin D on the not so snowy days. So whether you want to meet new friends indoors or outdoors, there is no lacking of social space at the residence.
There is a laundry room onsite, along with onsite maintenance and management teams. There is CCTV and security throughout the entire residence so your safety never needs to feel compromised. If you are feeling super adventurous and decide to brave the streets of London on a bicycle, there is a super secure cycle storage to home your snazzy set of wheels.
