Sheffield residence (Central Quay)
- The Sheffield Central Quay residence is situated in the north east of Sheffield city centre, in the popular area of Kelham Island.
- The residence comprises four to six bedroom en-suite flats, a combination of classic and premium bedrooms and a number of classic and premium studios.
Location
The residence is on Alma Street, has its own Tesco Express mini-market incorporated into the building, and is located within walking distance of Sheffield’s many diverse bars, restaurants and clubs. The residence is perfectly situated for students wishing to be close to centre of town while living in a more transquil area of the city.
The Kelham Island quarter is particularly popular during Sheffield’s three-day summer music festival, Tramlines. Beyond Kelham Island, the residence is only a 15-minute walk to the fantastic nightlife found at Division Street and West Street, which are hugely popular student areas.
Furthermore, Sheffield Hallam University’s Collegiate campus is accessed conveniently by a short 10-minute bus journey. Buses and trams are freely available from this area, giving students easy access into the town centre, Meadowhall shopping centre, Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena and Valley Centertainment.

This is a large residence offering a range of room types. All bedrooms come equipped with a comfortable bed, storage for your clothes and a desk/study area. All rooms are come with a private en suite bathroom. The single en suite rooms have access to a shared kitchen and living area while the studios have cooking facilities within the rooms. The residence provides a fortnightly cleaning service of the communal areas including the living room and kitchen.
There is CCTV throughout the building, an onsite service and security team and the latest electronic entry system for your security. There is also a fully equipped laundry and bicycle storage.

Sheffield Central Quay - Classic En Suite - Short Stay
This is a single en-suite room. The room has a comfortable ¾ double bed, a desk area and private bathroom, as well as a wardrobe and under-bed storage. There is free Wi-Fi in each bedroom and throughout the building. You will also have access to the communal living and kitchen areas which you will share with up to 5 flatmates. Some rooms have river views (upon request).

However, you cannot request specific details such as what floor the room is on or who your flatmates are, as the rooms are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
If you do have a special request, please let us know and we will do our best to help you.
Can I view this residence prior to booking?
If you are staying for 12 weeks or longer, we will be happy to request an appointment with the residence team for you to view the residence.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide viewings for stays under 12 weeks.
Can I smoke in the residence?
Smoking is not permitted in any indoor area in the UK. Please use the designated smoking areas found outside the residence.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, no pets are permitted in any of our residences.
Where can I wash my clothes?
This residence offers dedicated laundry facilities where you can wash and dry your clothes.
Are bills included in the price?
Yes, all utility bills are included in the price of the room, including gas, electric and Wi-Fi internet.
Does this residence have internet?
Yes, there is wireless internet in every bedroom and throughout the building.
Is there a curfew?
No, there is no curfew. You will be living independently, you will have your own key and can come and go as you please.
Is there always a member of staff available?
Yes, the reception staff usually work during office hours Monday to Friday. However, when the reception is closed, there will always be a member of the customer service or security team on hand, either to assist you in person or for you to contact by telephone.
Can I stay in this residence if I am under 18?
Unfortunately, this residence is only available to students aged 18 or over.
On occasion, subject to management approval, an exception can be made for students who turn 18 during their stay.
What is provided in your en suite room?
En-suite rooms include features such as a private bathroom, a comfortable three-quarter sized bed, your own desk for study and Wi-Fi connected work space.
What is the minimum stay?
The minimum stay is 8 weeks.
