The residence is located in the heart of Medway, a few minutes’ walk from Canterbury Christ Church University and the University of Kent. To live here will grant you all of the facilities of the Universities at Medway right on your doorstep, in addition to the great facilities already in the residence itself.
On-site at the residence you’ll find Cargo; an industrial themed bar and restaurant with a modern relaxed feel. Cargo has four different areas inside; a bistro, soft lounge, a bar with standing area, and a performance space with adjacent booths. The restaurant offers modern bistro styled lunch and dinner options, and you’ll be pleased to know that these are at student rates!
Medway Valley Leisure Park is a 15-minute taxi ride away from the residence and has a range of national chain restaurants to suit all tastes. If you venture into the town centre, a short 20-minute walk away, you’ll find a variety of traditional and well-known restaurants – and perfect for those days when you aren’t in the mood to cook!
The town of Medway is known for its historical filled background and celebrates with many annual festivals. You’ve got the English Festival in April, the Sweeps Festival in May, the Dickens Festival in June, Castle Concerts and Dickensian Christmas in December. The festivals are popular amongst locals and bring hundreds of people from all over the town.
The residence has 1106 which are a combination of Single En-suites and Studios. Single En-suites include your own en-suite bathroom and access to a shared kitchen where you would share with 3 – 9 of your fellow flat mates. Studios would include your own en-suite bathroom and your own private kitchenette. All rooms are fully-furnished with a comfortable bed, a study desk with a chair and a wardrobe.
There is a large, deluxe common room kitted out with state-of-the-art furnishings and plenty of activities so you can sit back and chill with your mates. For those moments when you just can’t be bothered to pop out? Well, you don’t have to – the essentials are right on your doorstep for your convenience, with an on-site supermarket to make those days super chilled. As well as the indoors, there is an outdoor courtyard area for those odd days when the British weather decides to give us a little bit of sunny weather.
The residence has 24/7 staff presence with either the friendly and easy to chat to on-site residence team, or the guardian angels of security who fill their shoes when they leave for the day. As if they aren’t the only people you find in the residence to help you, there is also the on-site maintenance teams who are ready on-site to fix anything you want as quickly as you need and at a time that works for you.

However, you cannot request specific details such as what floor the room is on or who your flatmates are, as the rooms are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Unfortunately, no pets are permitted in any of our residences.
This residence offers dedicated laundry facilities where you can wash and dry your clothes.
Yes, all utility bills are included in the price of the room, including gas, electric and Wi-Fi internet.
Yes, there is wireless internet in every bedroom and throughout the building.
Both rooms have private en-suite bathrooms. The difference is that studios have cooking facilities within the room, while the single en suite rooms have access to a shared kitchen.
No, there is no curfew. You will be living independently, you will have your own key and can come and go as you please.
Yes, the reception staff usually work during office hours Monday to Friday. However, when the reception is closed, there will always be a member of the customer service or security team on hand, either to assist you in person or for you to contact by telephone.
Yes, under 18s are welcome to stay at this residence. For guests who are 16 or 17 years old we will require a parental consent form to be completed. This form will state that your parents are happy for your to stay in this residence.
Yes, the residence is wheelchair friendly and there are rooms especially made with wheelchair access in mind. Please note that these rooms are limited therefore if your require a room with wheelchair access, we would advise booking early.
Yes, there is some very limited availability for Premium studios that are suitable for 2 people sharing. This room type is very limited, therefore early booking is advised.
Yes, within reason short stay (2 to 3 night) overnight guests are permitted. This is subject to the residence manager’s permission and you will be responsible for providing a bed for your guests.
