Located close to Liverpool’s University district, the residence is located off Edge Hill and is within easy reach of the city centre. The residence benefits from being a 10-minute walk from the Student Unions of Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Liverpool, which each host a number of events for students across the academic year.
Within a 10-minute walk of Liberty Park, you’ll find yourself on Wavertree Road where there are hundreds of takeaways to choose from; fish and chips, Indian, Chinese or Kebabs – the choice is yours.
The city centre can be reached on foot within 20-minutes and is home to a wide range of shops, restaurants, music venues, bars and nightclubs. There is a great selection of fine dining particularly round Liverpool One, also which offers an impressive range of brand name stores to suit everyone; so you’re bound to be covered by all of your fashion, music, beauty and other retail needs.
Concert Square is one of the liveliest spots in the city and is home to some of the city’s biggest bars and nightclubs. The area is popular for students during the week, and is home to Revolution, Walkabout, and The Krazyhouse – which is literally crazy! Matthew Street is also a favourite with our students, as it is home to The Cavern Club – where The Beatles started their rise to fame!
The residence has 390 rooms which are all en-suites. All rooms have your own bathroom in the room which offers you plenty of privacy. Residents then have access to a fully fitted kitchen with a large living area which would accommodate between 4-6 people. So you can either enjoy the peace of your own room, or the social aspect of the communal kitchen/living areas.
You will find a large outdoor communal area within the residence. So on the days when the sun is shining, you can chill outside for some fresh Liverpudlian air and top up that Vitamin D that the Brits are lacking and even enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner al-fresco style!! On those days (which, unfortunately, there are a lot of those days) where the weather is not so great, then you always have the social space of your kitchen and living area for those meals!
The residence comes with an on-site laundry room, bicycle storage and wireless internet in every bedroom and throughout the residence. There is also an outdoor courtyard for you to be able to utilise when the weather is nice for touching up that tan, or a breath of fresh air whilst studying – which can help with concentration, particularly during those important exam times.
Despite Liverpool having some great public transport links which are located all within walking distance, some people prefer to bring a car. Well in this residence (which is a rarity in most) they have parking facilities available so you can get from A to B without the need to hop on and off a bus or train.
The Liverpool (Paddington) residence has a range of en suite and studio rooms available.
