Islington Residence (Student Living Heights)
- Located just two minutes from City University, in the heart of Islington, this residence is just a couple of minutes walk from Angel Station in Zone 1. This stylish residence was purpose-built for students and offers over 136 studios all with en-suite bathrooms for students. Facilities on-site include social areas, bike storage and Wi-Fi in every room and throughout the building. All bedrooms are studios with built-in kitchenettes, three-quarter sized beds and private en-suite bathrooms.
- Within the residence, you will find a number of social areas, bike storage, fully-equipped laundrette and Wi-Fi in every room and throughout the building. There are all the usual extras you might expect, such as 24-hour reception/security teams and on-site maintenance.
Location
Located between City University and Zone 1 Angel Station, this residence is in the perfect location for local shopping, entertainment, restaurant’s and nightlife so you’ll never be far from the action!
The residence’s Central London location offers fantastic transport links, meaning you can easily travel anywhere in London. In less than 20 minutes you can be in Leicester Square with it’s West End theatres, as well as nearby Soho for nightlife and Covent Garden for pubs and clubs, so you are ideally-located to experience the best nightlife and entertainment in Central London.
In the opposite direction you have Hoxton, the famous Brick Lane with its legendary curry houses and Spitalfields markets where you can find vintage jewellery, boutiques, restaurants and traditional British market stalls.
Features
The residence is made up of 136 purpose-built studios all with en-suite bathrooms. Each studio contains a comfortable three-quarter sized bed, your own desk and Wi-Fi connected work space. The rooms are at least 13m² in size, and many are actually larger.
There is plenty of storage space, as each room is fitted with a large wardrobe, desk study area and shelves. You will have your own kitchenette in your studio so you can cook in your room.
The common room is perfect for socialising and making new friends. There is Wi-Fi in every room, plenty of vending machines throughout the building offering snacks and drinks, laundry services, bike storage, and on-site security and maintenance.

Can I select my room?
You can select the type of room you stay in.
However, you cannot request specific details such as what floor the room is on or who your flatmates are, as the rooms are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
If you do have a special request, please let us know and we will do our best to help you.
Can I view this residence prior to booking?
If you are staying for 12 weeks or longer, we will be happy to request an appointment with the residence team for you to view the residence.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide viewings for stays under 12 weeks.
Can I smoke in the residence?
Smoking is not permitted in any indoor area in the UK. Please use the designated smoking areas found outside the residence.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, no pets are permitted in any of our residences.
Where can I wash my clothes?
This residence offers dedicated laundry facilities where you can wash and dry your clothes.
Are bills included in the price?
Yes, all utility bills are included in the price of the room, including gas, electric and Wi-Fi internet.
Does this residence have internet?
Yes, there is wireless internet in every bedroom and throughout the building.
What’s the difference between Studio rooms and the Single En-Suite room types?
Both rooms have private en-suite bathrooms. The difference is that studios have cooking facilities within the room, while the single en suite rooms have access to a shared kitchen.
Is there a curfew?
No, there is no curfew. You will be living independently, you will have your own key and can come and go as you please.
Is there always a member of staff available?
Yes, the reception staff usually work during office hours Monday to Friday. However, when the reception is closed, there will always be a member of the customer service or security team on hand, either to assist you in person or for you to contact by telephone.
Can I stay in this residence if I am under 18?
Unfortunately, this residence is only available to students aged 18 or over.
On occasion, subject to management approval, an exception can be made for students who turn 18 during their stay.
Are there good transport links from the residence?
This residence is perfectly located in Central London. You are just a short walk from Angel station which is on the Northern Line.
There are bus routes connecting you with every corner of London. Just a few minutes from King’s Cross St. Pancras you could even spend the weekend in France or Belgium.
Is there cycle storage?
There are designated areas to safely store your bike.
Where can I cook?
Each studio contains a kitchenette allowing you to cook in your room. There are also plenty of places to eat nearby from take-aways to Michelin star restaurants.
