Glasgow residence (Kelvin Court)
- The Glasgow Kelvin Court residence is a contemporary student accommodation, situated on Yorkhill Street in the sought-after West End area of Glasgow. The stylish brick-clad building was designed by award-winning architect Fletcher Joseph and offers over 450 bedrooms to students and interns, all with private en-suite bathrooms.
- Located in a highly desirable district of Glasgow, the area has a large student population and offers a huge selection of great restaurants bars and student hangouts. The University of Glasgow and Glasgow International College are both just a short walk away, as well as a number of attractions including The Kelvingrove Art Gallery, The Riverside Museum and Hunterian Museum.
Location
Renowned for its beautiful Victorian sandstone buildings, cobbled streets and parks and gardens, Glasgow’s West End is the home of the city’s rich and famous. Packed full of artisan eateries, specialist delicatessens, bustling bars and a wealth of vintage shops, the area has been called bohemian, intellectual and fashionable. In 2017 it was voted ‚The Best Neighbourhood in UK & Ireland‘ by the Academy of Urbanism.
Kelvin Court is located in the heart of the West End, just moments away from Kelvingrove Park and a number of stunning local Neo-Gothic university buildings. The University of Glasgow’s main campus is just a 10-minute walk away, as is Glasgow International College and a number of the city’s English language schools.
Features
The Kelvin Court residence is a modern, purpose-built student residence offering a wide range of bedrooms all benefiting from private en-suite bathrooms. The rooms are well-designed and fully-furnished with a comfortable bed, plenty of storage, an en-suite bathroom and a study station. Single en-suite rooms are part of mini apartments and have access to a shared kitchen and living room great for socialising with friends. Studios are larger and come with a private kitchen and dining area within the room.
The residence has a number of social spaces including a lounge and a courtyard. There is a 24-hour reception and security team, CCTV and electric key fob access, Wi-Fi in every bedroom and throughout the building.

Can I select my room?
You can select the type of room you stay in.
However, you cannot request specific details such as what floor the room is on or who your flatmates are, as the rooms are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
If you do have a special request, please let us know and we will do our best to help you.
Can I view this residence prior to booking?
If you are staying for 12 weeks or longer, we will be happy to request an appointment with the residence team for you to view the residence.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide viewings for stays under 12 weeks.
Can I smoke in the residence?
Smoking is not permitted in any indoor area in the UK. Please use the designated smoking areas found outside the residence.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, no pets are permitted in any of our residences.
Where can I wash my clothes?
This residence offers dedicated laundry facilities where you can wash and dry your clothes.
Are bills included in the price?
Yes, all utility bills are included in the price of the room, including gas, electric and Wi-Fi internet.
Does this residence have internet?
Yes, there is wireless internet in every bedroom and throughout the building.
Is there a curfew?
No, there is no curfew. You will be living independently, you will have your own key and can come and go as you please.
Is there always a member of staff available?
Yes, the reception staff usually work during office hours Monday to Friday. However, when the reception is closed, there will always be a member of the customer service or security team on hand, either to assist you in person or for you to contact by telephone.
Can I stay in this residence if I am under 18?
Unfortunately, this residence is only available to students aged 18 or over.
On occasion, subject to management approval, an exception can be made for students who turn 18 during their stay.
What is provided in your en suite room?
En-suite rooms include features such as a private bathroom, a comfortable three-quarter sized bed, your own desk for study and Wi-Fi connected work space.
What is the minimum stay?
The minimum stay is 4 weeks.
