Location

The residence is located in the area of Clerkenwell. It is just a short 5-minute walk away from Farringdon tube station which provides you with access to other rail stations including Paddington, Liverpool Street, Aldgate and Kings Cross St Pancras (which would offer you a quick trip to Europe on the Eurostar). If you are a fan of history, the Museum of London is only a 20-minute walk away from the residence and offers visitors a story of London’s past – with amazing artefacts.

The residence is perfectly located so that you can experience the best entertainment and nightlife in the centre of London. There are many pre-club pubs and bars which can be enjoyed in the area, including The Bleeding Heart Tavern and Zetter Town House. Islington is then just a 20-minute walk away or one stop away by tube via the Northern Line. The area has a selection of entertainment to choose from, with some of the best live music venues including the O2 Academy and the Blues Bar Kitchen.

The residence has 291 rooms which are between 2 – 7 cluster flats. All rooms have been decorated to a good standard and come with access to shared kitchens and shared bathrooms. All rooms are fully-furnished with a comfortable bed, a study desk with a chair and a wardrobe.

Residents staying at the residence can stay fighting fit thanks to the free use of the gym which is located a short walk away at St John Street (it means you get to have a walk off-site to really maximise your workout!). There are an on-site laundry, bicycle storage and wireless internet in every bedroom and throughout the residence. You will feel completely safe while staying here as the residence has 24-hour security, CCTV and electronic entry system. You will feel completely safe while staying here as there is the reception area which is manned 24 hours of the day, seven days a week; with the friendly staff present Monday to Friday, and security outside of this. There is CCTV around the entire residence and a dedicated, experienced on-site maintenance team to deal with all issues.

Can I select my room?

You can select the type of room you stay in.

However, you cannot request specific details such as what floor the room is on or who your flatmates are, as the rooms are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

If you do have a special request, please let us know and we will do our best to help you.

Can I view this residence prior to booking?

Yes, you can, however, it would need to be arranged with at least 48 hours notice.

Can I smoke in the residence?

Smoking is not permitted in any indoor area in the UK. Please use the designated smoking areas found outside the residence.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately, no pets are permitted in any of our residences.

Where can I wash my clothes?

This residence offers dedicated laundry facilities where you can wash and dry your clothes.  

Are bills included in the price? 

Yes, all utility bills are included in the price of the room, including gas, electric and Wi-Fi internet. 

Does this residence have internet? 

Yes, there is wireless internet in every bedroom and throughout the building. 

What’s the difference between Studio rooms and the Single Non-En-Suite room types?

Studio rooms have private en-suite bathrooms and cooking facilities within the room, while the single non-en suite rooms have access to a shared bathroom and kitchen facilities.

Is there a curfew?

No, there is no curfew. You will be living independently, you will have your own key and can come and go as you please. 

Is there always a member of staff available?

Yes, the reception staff usually work during office hours Monday to Friday. However, when the reception is closed, there will always be a member of the customer service or security team on hand, either to assist you in person or for you to contact by telephone from your room. 

Can I stay in this residence if I am under 18?

Unfortunately, this residence is only available to students aged 18 or over.

On occasion, subject to management approval, an exception can be made for students who turn 18 during their stay.
